What experience do you have?
I actually started DJing when I was 13. My first job was as a DJs assistant. Once I did a party or two, I was hooked. I have close to 35 years of experience.
How do you prepare for a wedding?
I pay good attention to details, and I listen, a lot. I will send couples a online music request form, an online planning form and an online wedding timeline so I can get the best information on what their needs are. I also stay in constant communication in case there are any very last minute changes that need to be made.
How do you keep a crowd dancing all night long?
I have a very good crowd reading ability that I’ve developed over the years. I know how to get people out onto the dance floor, even before their first cocktail. There’s a rhythm to the night and I will play your favorite songs in the perfect order to keep the fun flowing!
How much time will you spend talking with a bride and groom before a wedding?
As much as needed. I’ve shared hundreds of emails, texts and hours and hours of phone calls over the years. I’m very accessible and will respond in less than 24 hours to any request (and…sometimes 24 seconds). I think being just a click or call away makes couples feel better knowing that I’ll have all the information I need to do an incredible job for them.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes… and you better hope any DJ you’re hiring for your event has one or else you have to question why.
Are you gonna yap on the microphone just to hear yourself talk all night?
Absolutely not, it’s your wedding reception/party not mine. I only help with the emceeing and maybe throwing in a comment from time to time just to help keep the dance floor hoppin’.
Can I provide Up-lighting and Dance Lighting?
Yes, I can deliver on both! I have a terrific dance light show which isn’t over the top. It’s a classy kinda disco I guess you could say. I can also uplight the room in color. I can tranform any room from Banquet Hall to an elegant Ballroom in just minutes! Dance lighting starts at $200, and up-lighting starts at $450, and depends obviously on the size of the room.
How do have backup equipment if there’s a technical difficulty?
The answer is a solid yes. I have a back up mixer, software, speakers, and even microphones in case some piece of equipment goes down. To minimize failure, I’ve always bought the best equipment in the DJ industry, from JBL speakers to Shure microphones. However, just in case, I do have a good redundancy system for my equipment.
What types of events do you do?
I’ve entertained for lots of wedding ceremonies and receptions, Jack & Jills, birthday parties, summer parties, New Year’s Eve parties, holiday parties, graduations, store openings, charity events and more!
Do you offer refunds?
Yes I do. If for some reason you cancel your event and I am able to replace it with another event, you will get your reservation fee back.
What regions do you serve?
I serve the Massachusetts and Connecticut area. I’m also available for destination weddings.
